To change Internet Explorer sounds

You can assign different sounds to play in Internet Explorer than the ones currently used, or you can turn off the sounds altogether.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Sounds icon.
3. In the Windows Explorer area of the Events list, click the event you want to change.
4. In the Name list, click the sound you want to associate with that event.

   If you don't want any sound associated with that event, click None.
